The team at Lionbridge with solution centres in 25 countries worldwide is recruiting self-employed workers who are fluent speakers in English and German and are based in one of the following cities (Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, and Dresden) in Germany to join our City Map Researcher team. This project will require an in-depth knowledge of your city. You will be part of a 2 person team - one person driving a vehicle to a specific location in your city while the other collects and enters specific address & location information in real time.
Requirements:
 Excellent knowledge of local geographical areas
 You will be required to work in a two person team
 Proficiency in English & German is essential
 We are seeking people who are avid internet users and confident in using the internet
 Experience/know-how of using online maps and familiar with general concepts of GPS / Map co-ordinates for finding locations
 Familiarity with address formats in your city as you will be required to complete address information for specific locations within your city
 For cultural, historical and geographical awareness purposes candidates must be resident or have local knowledge of the cities listed
 Familiar with using popular tablet brands
 A full Valid driver s license is required per team
 You will need a credit card In your name for testing purposes only
The goal of this project is to evaluate and improve on-line mapping content & software. Candidates will need to follow specific instructions to navigate to pre-determined locations.
This work will involve:
- Driving / walking to specific address locations via GPS co-ordinates each day.
- Validating address information at specific GPS co-ordinates
- Collecting address Information and Points of Interest using address formats local to your City
- You will be required to complete 8 hours work per day for two- three weeks in late October /early November
This project is expected to run for approximately 2- 3 weeks. Weekend work may be required to complete all mapping areas in scope. An immediate start is required and a starter pack will be provided with full project instructions.
